empire state of monday
I *finally* saw 'New York, I Love You,' and it made me fall in love with NYC all over again. I'm missing the city so terribly right now, even the video for 'Empire State of Mind' makes me sad...
I'm just so ready to be back there...it can't happen soon enough.

[200] days of summer...
It's my 200th post!!! aah!
I'm so over the tundra-like weather I live in, so I'm dreaming of what I'd like to do this summer: make some money so I can move and spend my free time playing in the sun in cotton sundresses & rompers, making some clothes to sell on etsy slash setting up some photo shoots, going to a concert or music festival...
until then, I live vicariously through these photos...

It's almost time for my favorite olympics. No, not the winter games being held in Vancouver this year, the FASHION olympics being held in Bryant Park [for the last time!!!]. Which designers will walk away with medals for their Fall/Winter 2010 collections?? Stay tuned...

feel good friday
Teen Vogue has made a girl dreams come true. The Make-A-Wish Foundation hooked up with Teen Vogue to make this 19-year-old brain cancer survivors dream of becoming a high fashion model a reality. After the shoot, she and her sister were allowed to take home all the dresses and accessories. When Teen Vogue talked to her post-photo shoot they discovered she decided to donate some of the garments to a charity that helps underprivileged girls in need of prom dresses! What a wonderful story!

In my dreams of spring weather here in the tundra of Michigan, I have begun window shopping for new footwear. This spring, I want platform heels and sandals to wear around, maybe a new pair of ankle boots and/or moccasins. Here are some more affordable options [minus the Steve Madden boots I'm dying for! ]
