cherry cherry boom boom

I know I'm not the first to join the Lady Gaga bandwagon, and I've been riding it for quite awhile now, but I've recently decided her debut album, 'The Fame' is destined to be one of the albums providing the soundtrack to my summer. She's a fierce, faboosh, femme fatale, whos catchy brand of disco-pop-party music has over-taken my iPod. Almost every song on her album makes me want to roll down the windows, and drive around aimlessly dancing in my car. Artists of every genre have been flocking to her concerts--even Weezer has incorporated a cover of her smash hit 'Poker Face' into their summer tour set list. Her style is stirring up the fashion scene as well, and I love the risks she takes with her look! She's a fan of the bodysuit/no-paints/sky high heels look, and is regularly spotted sporting it around the globe. From the zany one shoulder bodysuits with 3-d shoulder embellishments, to the lightning bolt she frequently sports on her face, to the crazy batwing, hooded, I can't get enough! She also wears some of the most intricate and creative accessories, in the form of wire cages, graphic resin-y add ons, oversized bows, and bows made out of hair! Check it out...

loved this orbit-cage thing she wore on the ellen show!

this hooded body suit is awesome, the tights that looked like peeling sunburnt skin? not so much.

...and heres a little something i put together on polyvore...essentially my how to dress like Lady Gaga guide :)

another cinderella story...

One of my favorite current Disney Channel stars would have to be Selena Gomez. She's adorable, clearly, and seems to be one of the best role models that channel has to offer right now! I happened to watch 'Another Cinderella Story' one weekend when it was on ABC Family, and thought it was a cheesy, feel-good, 'dance' movie, but it showed that this girl is going places! This spread, from the newest issue of Teen Vogue, as well as some of the behind-the-scenes shots off their website, is too cute! She seems like a really normal, down-to-earth, and well adjusted teenager...who also happens to have [maybe] dated Nick Jonas...  Not bad for a girl who got her start on 'Barney & Friends!!'

graduation couture...

This girl can make even those tacky polyester gowns look good. Since I chose to not walk for graduation, I'll be showing this picture to anyone who asks if I have any pictures in my cap & gown :)

you know you love me...xoxo

let them eat cake...

Marie Antoinette has always been an interest of mine, especially after Sofia Coppola's fabulous movie was released! Here's a quick Polyvore set filled with Marie-esque inspiration! Check out those amazing Marie inspired Louboutins! And if I'm a little bit MIA for the next few days, its because I'm heading out of state! I leave for EL this afternoon, and Los Angeles on Tuesday!! It's the first time I'll be going further west than the west end of Michigan's Upper Penninsula, so as you can imagine, I'm super excited!! Look for future posts all about it :)

Fifi Lapin

While browsing the blogosphere, I came across this fabulous little blog, Fifi Lapin. Fifi is the most stylish bunny in all of the land. For an adorable cartoon bunny, she is a Fashionista with a capital "F." Fifi has a blog she updates with all her outfit choices, and they are straight off the runways. She has impeccable taste, style, and poise. She has an equally well dressed boyfriend, Sonny Hare, and a pet dog. She is so fabulous, Le Sport Sac even did a line of bags featuring her! I love the whimsy in the sketches, and the website features a lot of side by side comparisons of the runway version and Fifi's ensemble, so you can see just how fabulous she she pulls them off. The outfits in minature form are too cute, and who doesn't love a bunny, especially when she's dressed to the nines? I love the loose feeling the sketches have, too. It looks like they may have used marker, possibly watercolor to render them, but the technique is just so fun! I wish I had thought of something like this!! I'm guess I'm just going to have to get even more creative...Here are some of my favorite Fifi Lapin looks, but the website has even more, so check them out!!!

stumbled upon

I am a big fan of the website Stumble Upon. Its a great way to waste time when you're online, or in need of a new website to browse. You fill in your likes, and every time you clike "Stumble Upon" it takes you to a new site filled with things you're interested in. While playing around with it the other day, it took me to the website of Trish South Management, which was *filled* to the brim with amazing photography of all the talent they manage. They have a lot of fashion images, as well as landscapes, portraits, advertising, and more. I will be featuring a lot of photography from this site in the future, especially when I need some new inspiration, but for today I chose this collection of photos by Kayt Jones. I love the tonal quality, and earthy undertones of the images. Take a look around the website, there's some really amazing images!
