long time, no blog...

so sorry for the lack of posts this summer. interning, freelancing, and job hunting ate up a lot of my life. but. since NY fashion week is kicking off TODAY. i think it's about time i get back on track, no? I'm celebrating 'Fashion's Night Out' tonight, and who better to get you us pumped than the kids from 'Glee?'

This amazing spread from the July issue of Dazed & Confused magazine is exactly the brightly colored pick-me-up I need today. I can't get enough of the ruffles, pleats, mixed prints, texture, bold colors, etc, etc, etc.

moody monday

I have been doing some sewing lately, and eventually I am planning on setting up a photoshoot to use for my portfolio, plus to get some stuff up on Etsy! [or at least trying to!] I'm really liking all the delicate, feminine details/garments mixed with dark colors and military greens, set against a moody backdrop. If only I had access to a ghost town/abandoned house or dramatic, willow covered southern plantation, but maybe finding a local, old, semi-abandoned cemetery could do the trick? Especially if some fog rolled in at the exact right time... Hmmm.

autumn sky

While I am not trying to rush the summer weather, I am starting to get excited about fall fashions! I am ready for tights, and layers, and coats, and boots! :) To ease on into it, I've taken some images of autumn, and paired them with some of my favorite looks from Fall Fashion Week that evoked the same color palettes.
