tunesday

Vampire Weekend's video for 'Giving Up the Gun' is not only hilarious, it features a recent swoonsday boy, among others! Love it.

tunesday special edition

Since my last post on Glee, the show has blown up! It's getting all kinds of love from the critics and press. Tonight marks its triumphant return after [too many] weeks of being on hiatus. In the next 9 weeks they'll be bringing in loads of guest stars [Neil Patrick Harris, Idina Menzel, and personal favorite {and future bestie, cough cough} Jonathan Groff], and themed episodes including those dedicated to Madonna and Lady Gaga. Its not too late to get hooked on this show and proudly proclaim yourself a Gleek!

My current fav. Glee cover as performed on OPRAH! :)

dance, dance

This video is amazing. Christian Louboutin is having a serious case of designer's block, and then gets lost in his daydreams. So fab.

i heart the oscars

Here are some of the looks from the red carpet last night. This was a year of more hits than misses, but not a whole lot of "that blew me away" looks. My favs were Cameron Diaz, Zoe Saldana, Rachel McAdams, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and [I can't believe I'm admitting this] Miley Cyrus. Also, a special shout out to MSU Apparel & Textile Design student Jillian Granz, who won a contest and had her original gown design created and worn by Suzy Amis, wife of Titanic/Avatar director, James Cameron!  And the guys are always dapper in their tuxes, but the three at the end of these photos are a nice little hunk [pun intended] of eye candy to get your Monday moving. Who were your favorites???

twas brillig and the slithy toves...

In honor of Tim Burton's take on Alice in Wonderland opening today, I whipped up this polyvore set of yet another 'Alice' inspired look. I'm planning a bigger post on this when I get back into town this afternoon :)

off with her head!

Tom Binns has debuted his collection of jewelry inspired by the new Tim Burton film 'Alice in Wonderland.' I am in L O V E. I think the pieces are fun and totally spot on with the theme, and while they are quite fancy, I think you could easily wear a lot of them on a daily basis if you kept the rest of your look simple.
