you're so outta control

Today's pick for tunesday is by a band called The Fashion. I used this song for my last SADA Fashion Show runway tune. My collection was inspired by the movie 'Cabaret,' Blair Waldorf, and a wonderful piece of fabric I found in NYC in the summer of '08.

here is the video:

and as a bonus, here's my collection :)

[did i share these already? i feel like i did, but i couldn't find it...]

fall fashion week 2010

2010 Fall Fashion Week is here! I was out of town this weekend, so I am trying to get caught up on all the shows that have happened in the past couple days. ADAM and Prabal Gurung have two of my favorite collections thus far. I love the muted colors and mix of chunky, casual knits with sleek seperates that ADAM presented, and Prabal Gurung's use of color-blocking and artful draping is simply stunning. After the jump I've included some key looks from Lyn Devon, Kimberly Ovitz, Philosophy, Vivienne Tam, and United Bamboo.

new york fashion week s/s 2010 - part 7

New York Fashion Week has come to a close, which means this is my last post on the occasion. But I'm not too sad, London Fashion Week starts soooooon! <3

Ralph Lauren:
Quintessential American fashion. Beautiful!

Naeem Khan:
Such dark glamour, and beautiful prints...

Phi:
A little bit bondage, a little bit grunge, a lot of look :)

L'Wren Scott:
Love the subtle Versaille and Bowie accents in these looks.

Stephen Burrows:
Well crafted simple silhouettes...

Isaac Mizrahi:
Sparkles, glamour, elegant draping, amazing collection!

Threeasfour:
Unique looks, inspired by Yoko Ono's dot drawings. So impressive...
