This month's Elle magazine features some young and faboosh talent in a spread inspired by the movie 'Empire Records' and puts a fresh new spin on '90s grunge-chic. Featuring Anton Yelchin, who was amazing in 'Alpha Dog,' Frieda Pinto of 'Slumdog Millionare,' and the like, the mix of black & white and color images along with the layering of clothes, and baggy-yet-fitted styles makes me really excited to do some more shopping for my late spring/summer wardrobe. I love the patterned leggings, beanies, cardigans that are longer than the skirts, all of it. The boys look pretty good, too, in that indie-rocker/hipster sort of way. From the little bios on each of the subjects, this group seems to have a lot of talent, and from the sounds of it, they will do big things. Keep your eyes open for them.Saturday, March 28, 2009
